here a funny story. i went to the grocery story one day and this homeless dude was out front and i started talking to him. I told him i was a little low on money but i could still buy him something. He said something like "bro use my food card it has like a couple thousand dollars on it" lol that was funny.

no i didnt use his card :)

i have a relative who is on that stuff. he is in really bad shape. probably what peole really object to is the people that cheat the system its also chit thats its viewed as 'entitlement.

how is it a scam? it costs more than it pays out because of administrative costs, thats just how any business or institution operates IRL. even non-profits have admin costs. poor people need help, whether they are black or white or liberals or conservatives shouldn't matter.
social benefits are a net positive and as the richest country in the world, we can afford to take care of our own but we dont. we'd rather line the pockets of the already rich
