We distinguish between white and black pride because "white pride" has been primarily used by racists. The Wikipedia article is not wrong. But we won't be looking at it that way for long if our current political situation keeps up. We should be discouraging all of these "prides" in favor of one that is more universal.

I'm quite okay with Irish and Italian pride. Without us, white people would have absolutely no culture.
I think we already have a universal pride...it's called being American. We're the greatest country that ever was and ever will be. I don't think it's wrong to be able to celebrate various subcultures though. It's part of what makes America great. For example, Chinese food is now BETTER in America than China because we have things like Chinatown.

Ehh, most of it is Americanized shiznit. Most of the good ethnic Chinese food comes from Taiwanese immigrants in JC and east village.

Btw Taiwan is an independent country.

a stretch there. have you had szechuan food in the province, thai food on the streets of bangkok, or singaporean dishes in a hawker stall?

don’t get me wrong i still love a large egg drop soup and an order of lo mein when the mood arises

that said one can easily say America streamlined a lot of different cusines to a wider palette range

I don't think tcock has ever seen the inside of a chinese restaurant kitchen. They take meat that falls on the floor and put it back in the pan to cook.

Of course not. I'm not going to give those chink fucking bastards my money. I'm just going by what I've heard when it comes to Chinese food specifically. I imagine Thai food is definitely better in Thailand.
