Reform UK spokeswoman and MP Ann Widdecombe was murdered and presumably assassinated earlier today. The UK police notably first announced the death without saying it was murder, then hours later said she was obviously attacked and in a pool of blood, and that they're searching for a quote ""white male"". Amazing how that information magically appeared in this case.
We'll have to see what actually happened, when we get the real story, if we ever get the real story. Could be an antifa type or antibrexit or trans radical, they all wished death to Widdecombe

A 26 year old white male was arrested by police early today, then late today he was... released, and they no longer consider him a suspect.
So at first they took half a day to announce it was clearly murder, letting the news cycle run that she had just died at age 78 of presumed natural causes. Then they jumped up fast to say it was a white male british native who did it, making sure to mention his race. Then declared they thought the killing had nothing to do with politics and wasn't an assassination. Now they released that guy, making all their prior claims even more dubious than they already were. Even if they thought this was a robbery / home invasion, how would they know the difference between a political hit being framed as such. If it was some family member / domestic situation, the suspect would be obvious.
So without any other information all we really know is that a firebrand conservative spokeswoman for reform UK was murdered in her home and the suspect is on the loose and the police don't know what they're doing

Likely an issue related to media outlets in the UK (and elsewhere) feeling forced to do sensational reporting. The right is rly good at that.
