Just because you don't agree with him doesn't make him a partisan hack lol. Also, you're not a gullible fool for questioning the narrative that Garland is super moderate either. He's NOT moderate and that was never my point. You're a gullible fool because you eat up right wing propaganda without questioning it. You consistently fail to perform a very simple exercise: if you don't like what a Democrat is doing, would you be okay with a Republican doing it? It's a shame too because I thought you were making progress in being consistent but you seem to be seriously regressing.
There is a huge difference between consistence and both-sideism. One can be consistent and have a clear partisan stance at the same time.
It is actually you who's turning a blind eye to the potentially outrageous abuse of the DoJ by an AG that this case presents. You are the one who's failing the "would you be okay with the other side doing it"-test.

Since I started politics, the AG has ALWAYS been a target for the opposition. Anyway, I sort of roll my eyes at anything that comes from the Republicans on the Judiciary Committee because they actually ARE a bunch of hacks. Jim Jordan wrote that letter and you should have a look at some of the members on that committee: Biggs, Gaetz, Gohmert, etc. Those guys are some of the biggest clowns in Washington. Anyway, I find it really strange that you're okay with a small number of parents threatening to decapitate, rape, etc. teachers over policy disagreements. I thought you had more sense than that but perhaps there really are too many Muslims in your country and you've become numb to those kind of threats. Don't conflate the parents who are upset and expressing their frustration with people who are making legitimate threats. Maybe they are the same to you, but they seem very different to me.
I'll concede on Jordan/Gaetz/Gohmert. The more important point is the bolded though. Do we have any proof that only parents who made criminally relevant threats were tagged as terrorists by the FBI?
What makes this whole issue so fishy in my eyes is that Garland started recommending to treat protesting parents as domestic terrorists after that situation in VA where the father of a girl who was raped in the bathroom by a transgender co-ed blasted the responsible school board which had tried to cover the incident up (we have hard proof for that), which sparked a wave of outrage by parents and came at a very inopportune time during the VA gubernatorial race.
We really must draw a line between frustrated parents (keep in mind VA had very long school closures due to covid) venting and those who are making legitimate threats. Signalling to angry parents of all stripes that they might end up on no fly lists and shit like that was an escalation which went way overboard; also, it seems to have been a deliberate attempt at achieving a chilling effect on parent protests. This reeks of an attempt at quelling the formation of another conservative grass roots movement.
Add the potential for perjury/lying under oath to the list and Garland should be a goner if even half of these accusations can be corroborated. He really has some clarifying to do.
