Ted Cruz (or whoever it was) was simply engaging in theatrics. You'd have to be profoundly ignorant to think that about Garland given that he was an appellate judge since '97 and Grassley even floated Garland's name. there is a difference between say spending estimates to be off by 30%, as i almost expect this with our government, versus he total doozy of a own-goal saying it will cost $0 when that isn’t mathematically possible

This latest polling from West Virginia shows Biden with an approval/disapproval rating of 33/65 while Manchin stands at 61/37 (not too shabby for a Democrat in a state Trump carried by 39%).
It also shows West Virginians wanting to keep the filibuster by a margin of 67/26.

Hmmm.... seems like Manchin does indeed understand his state. Him not listening to the polls which showed "broad support for progressive climate policy in WV", or him opposing Biden's spending bill with all the purportedly popular economically liberal policy, doesn't seem to have hurt his standing at home.

Ted Cruz being scum doesn't change the fact that Garland has revealed himself to be a partisan hack in recent months, something that many on the right always suspected, but couldn't prove based on his comparatively moderate judicial track record.

For an example, look at my previous post in which I linked a scathing statement by the Judiciary Committee. It questions Garland's sworn testimony that counterterrorism was not used to target concerned parents (angry over CRT, mask mandates, school closures and all that stuff) in light of recent whistleblower evidence showing that Garland himself has issued an order to the FBI to create a new counterterrorism 'threat tag' category for these parents and investigate them accordingly (i.e. as domestic terrorists).







But sure, I must be a gullible fool falling for witless Breitbart-level propaganda when I question the narrative that Garland is a super moderate.
