America needs to return to the control of rational and sane leadership, and out of the hands of tyrants. Then the US military can *actually* be used for good instead of being used for evil.

I know, I know - must be quite a shock for people in the military that the US government made a deliberate decision to fully support the same terrorist groups in Syria that we also spent decades fighting in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. Gee, it's almost like they were all used like pawns in a game of chess while being lied to by their own military and political leadership. A true stab in the back, really.

And to Goomshill, no - Russia has little to no interest in Western Ukraine. I can't say for sure what Russia is going to do now, but they are clearly very, very angry.

Honestly, in the 8 years I've been following geopolitics I have never once seen Putin this angry. Not once has he ever made statements like this.

Ukraine had 8 years to stop killing people and get their act together. Eight. Years.

Well, it ends now, that's for damn sure.

I could see Russian seizing Kyiv as realistic, but I don't think it makes much sense to expect them to move beyond the Dnieper, does it? What interest would they have in seizing western ukraine or trying to hold it? Kiev however remains in a precarious place.
Encircling Kiev is certainly a fear

Its very hard to pin down a translated transcript, but from what I can see there's no specificity whether Russia will only operate in Donetsk and Lugansk.

These are significant distinctions to make when it comes to wars and conflicts.
