I'm sure emergency services everywhere will be overjoyed to know you can only get hep b from sex, and will immediately stop wearing gloves for their own protection when dealing with bleeding people.

He’s mostly correct though. The vast majority of cases are mother to infant transmission and unsafe sexual practices (in adults). You can double check on the WHO website if you’d like.

Yeah, and both of those are clearly irrelevant. Mother to child transmissions obviously can't be immunized against, and adult infections aren't what's being discussed.

Children are more likely to develop the chronic form of the disease than adults, hence immunization at a young age. I was just arguing the fact that he’s mostly right in saying it’s an STD above all else (i.e. most kids aren’t at risk).
