It's not an overreaction when he has had a couple of private conversations with this manlet.

Big oof...

Let me put it like this: this Paul Gosar dude is clearly an embarrassment, but I still think that it is absolutely pathetic and certainly more cringe-worthy to react to this anime ad with a demonstrably fictional sob story about how AOC's life was in danger on 1/6.

why worry about something that is transitory, which is what they’ve been telling us for 6 months now?

Because people are worried and it's weighing on them politically. It doesn't matter if it will be "fixed in the future" if people are upset now. Honestly, Biden just needs to pretend to be doing everything possible and just say dumb shit like: "I asked Congress to order more ships and contacted the Singapore Shipping Company (doesn't exist) to help relieve the supply chain." Just look at Cuomo: systematically murdered old people but people loved that he "took charge" by having a news conference.

they said it was transitory and was not worth concerning ourselves with just a few months ago. per the fed and govt people are upset about something that likely wont even exist in a few weeks

Again, it doesn't matter. It cost them votes and contributed to them losing a governorship. Everything could be fixed next week and they'd still make it their "number 1 priority." Politics is about perception, not reality.

reality is inflation is running amok, the perception of our govt is that it is nothing to worry about. they told us this for months!

In theory, thundercock is correct that perception of reality, not reality itself, is what determines political outcomes. The problem for Democrats here is simply that they are in the wrong on this issue - inflation is real and not going away anytime soon. Economic experts and central bankers around the world are increasingly acknowledging that.

Telling voters that "their perception of reality is wrong" to deflect from a political weak spot is a horrible strategy when it is easily verifiable that their perception is, in fact, correct.

despite the fact they told us inflation would be transitory back in the spring

https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/interest-rates-inflation-federal-reserve-transitory/
https://www.whitehouse.gov/cea/blog/2021/04/12/pandemic-prices-assessing-inflation-in-the-months-and-years-ahead/

months of telling us not to worry about inflation. these people do not live in any sort of reality where consequences affect them, because they can always leverage the taxpayer to sustain themselves. and their supporters have the exact same mindset
