Honestly, Biden just needs to pretend to be doing everything possible and just say dumb shit like: "I asked Congress to order more ships and contacted the Singapore Shipping Company (doesn't exist) to help relieve the supply chain." Just look at Cuomo: systematically murdered old people but people loved that he "took charge" by having a news conference.

Again, it doesn't matter. It cost them votes and contributed to them losing a governorship. Everything could be fixed next week and they'd still make it their "number 1 priority." Politics is about perception, not reality.

Telling voters that "their perception of reality is wrong" to deflect from a political weak spot is a horrible strategy when it is easily verifiable that their perception is, in fact, correct.

months of telling us not to worry about inflation. these people do not live in any sort of reality where consequences affect them, because they can always leverage the taxpayer to sustain themselves. and their supporters have the exact same mindset
