I'm curious, what is your age and (approximate) body fat %?
I'm 29 and I am unsure how to calculate body fat. Haven't done it since middle school Health class. I'm 5'10 and I just weighed myself at 209. I'm a bit dehydrated so I'd throw some extra weight on there. Not sure how much though. I'm not really a fat guy. I have a little pudge and I have a double chin but outside of that I'm in decent shape.
Here's something else I find interesting about COVID. The long-term symptoms were not what I expected. When I was at the top of my COVID infection I had zero appetite to eat. We're three weeks after I have tested positive now and that zero appetite hit me again. I haven't really had any for the last two days. I've forced myself to eat because I know I need it for energy but I can't get a lot down. The nausea came back and it's intermittent. Yesterday I pulled up my basement carpet which was actually a lot easier than I anticipated. I still had several moments where my vision was fuzzy and went dark. At one point if I had not sat down I honestly believe I would have lost consciousness. I called my doctor and they're having me watch these symptoms. If they persist past a few days they want me to come back in so they can run tests or whatever. My doc says it's more than likely just from COVID. He says a lot of people are reporting long-term symptoms such as fatigue, no appetite, etc.
I get the whole not wanting to wear a mask thing. It sucks. I would argue that it's a hell of a lot better than COVID though. I wore my mask and took social distancing seriously but still got it. I'm assuming it was from the positive case at my employer before I contracted it and that individual did not take mask wearing and social distancing seriously. I don't know though because I am not privy to other employees medical information. I also could have very easily contracted it by touching a surface at a gas station, etc. I don't know and won't ever know for sure. Just be safe out there guys. Even if you're against the mask mandate you can still help prevent spread by washing your hands and disinfecting surfaces regularly and after each person. If I could do it all over again I would have been a lot more careful with what I touched. Shit sucks. I'm one of the lucky ones because I'm getting paid. A lot of you aren't in the same boat so 2+ weeks off means 2+ weeks without pay. Think about that.
