Bill Clinton is the rapist.

Apparently George R R Martin projected his childhood rejection on an entire fictional world because every relationship involved forcible rape in that series.

We didn't save Russia in WW2. They defeated the Nazis and occupied Berlin. We defeated the Japanese on our own before they formally declared war, but they were already balls deep in Manchuria and ready to go, and if Russian soldiers had ever land in Japan there would have been another Berlin Airlift Situation when the Cold War began in Tokyo or elsewhere on that Island, because whenever the Red army went anywhere, it didn't retreat, and Stalin had the habit of flooding every region his army had been though with Russian citizens, so that he would an enduring claimed interest over these areas. Ukraine, George, all the -stan countries except Afghanistan, the one they failed to annex.

Hitler had about as much of a chance to conquer Russia as Napoleon before him. Now if they managed to develop nukes it would have been on....they would have nuked Stalingrad the second they lost it to demoralize the Red Army, they would have lit up Moscow to break up central command, and would have nuked the Urals (or tried to leave them intact) because that is where the Russian industrial base was relocated after the Nazis were moving East.

But no. We were minor players in the European theater. We came to Britains aid after they had been facing the Blitz for years, and we liberated France, two important things in their own, but the 11 time zones that was Joseph Stalin was going to win WW2 almost no matter what. We just got Japan first because of nukes. A communist North Japan vs a Capitalist South Japan would have changed the Cold War dramatically The Soviets didn't leave China until the Chinese were strong enough to say "gtfo our relations are cooling" and they're still cold.
