Also, from a strategical point of view, it's stupid to talk like that. Covid is an issue on which Trump gets fucking
slaughtered, a majority of voters hates the way Trump has handled it. Anything reminding them of this fact is a big net negative for him. Projecting a defiant, unrepentant attitude towards this issue will further endear him to his base, but turn off the other 60-70% of the country.
