Trump saying he'll be leaving Walter Reed by 6:30 pm to continue recovering at the White House.
I anticipate that the narrative that will manifest going forward is that Covid-19 isn't something to be afraid of, and that this will actually further empower Republicans in their efforts to re-open businesses and other arenas across the country.
Maybe.
I think people are too quick to jump to narratives though. For all we know Trump really did catch Covid and made a really fast recovery because he got tested so often and it was caught super early and was receiving top-shelf medical care. Maybe he'll downplay it, maybe this speedy recovery is just a testament of the massive amount of improvement in treatment we've seen developed in the last 6 months. The death rate has dropped significantly since April.
If death/million dropped from 7 to like 1-2, why shouldn't we start opening?
