There's not really a reason to wait until every piece of evidence is out before sending it to the senate. That is assuming the senate would act in good faith, which it isn't.

Putting together a strong case is in the interest of of the nation. The investigatory process is also. Rushing things in a partisan way won't win hearts and minds of the people that are actually needed.

A disgrace. Voting against John Bolton testifying will haunt this Senate's legacy for decades. The GOP has voted to give the chief executive an even greater expansion of powers. This will do long-term damage to the country and the supposed greatest deliberative body in the world for years to come.

We can only believe this if we hold that the executive is specifically beholden to the lower house of Congress, that it's unlawful for the executive branch to press it's prerogatives in court, and that the discretionary exercise of lawful power is somehow the biggest crime of the century.

Let's try to see this for what it is. The House attempted one of the more outrageous power grabs in history and got slapped.

Voting against a disgruntled ex-employee will haunt no one. Bolton is a bit too hawkish for the world today, and that's coming from a hawkish person.
If Bolton had his way, the middle east and probably asia would be glowing in the dark by now.

Like someone said earlier... this latest drive for even more witnesses is just a way to give the Dems more soundbite material. Bolton could have easily testified during the House hearings if he wanted to.
He was already fired at the time, so any claims that he didn't testify cause the WH said not to... is just BS. The WH still doesn't want him to testify, yet NOW he's up for it.

This is a common practice by the Dems in the past 3 years.
Lawyers paying people to jump on the #metoo bandwagon, Dems paying people $50 each to get rowdy at the Kavanaugh hearings, Comey and now Bolton with their "revenge books". Hell even Clinton wrote one.

In 6 months from now, all anyone will remember about impeachment is that it was 100% partisan and it failed. Nobody will care about Bolton being a witness or not. Democrats will thump "impeached for life" to make themselves feel better, independents won't give a shit, Republicans will count it as another victory under his belt. People will just draw a comparison between Nixon, Clinton and Trump, and Trump's will be remembered as turning out even weaker than the Clinton case where they managed to prove he lied- in Trump's case they never got the bombshell they wanted.

Speak for yourself. 68% of Republican voters supported witnesses. This is a disgrace. I don't see a problem with any sitting president now continually using federal aid money to serve their domestic political interests. The US Congress doesn't see a problem with it. We have voted to expand executive power to a ridiculous degree.

Fine. Investigate him. Prosecute him. Unlike Republicans, I think it is important to hold the powerful accountable for their actions.
