Two big raises in a year, one of which is 2$. Definitely too much too fast. If they're going to raise that much it needs to be over a much longer term.

Minimum wage increases need to be done gradually to avoid shock, same as pretty much everything else pertaining to economics.

i thought it was too drastic a few years ago and remember saying i'd like to see seattle as the experiment for this idea

can't say i'm surprised with the results though i was hopeful those theories about people having more income to buy stuff would boost the economy would work out

If it was done over a longer period it likely would have worked out.
