Actually the opposite is true considering many city PD's are actively trying to recruit blacks, even to the point where a college degree is being removed because not enough blacks are able to sit in for the test. It's true of my city where for years you needed at least a 2 year degree or military service to be a cop until that was removed because they wanted more blacks to qualify and maybe get the jobs. Also you have to be a resident of the city to actually be able to take the test for at least a year in a lot of places.

But in this case, 5 black dudes stomped out another black dude because they were disconnected or not part of the community? Really?

No. Five Black cops stomped out a Black civilian because they are part of a system that is designed to do just that: oppress poor and minority people, often to their death. Real community policing that was a mirror of the community wouldn't see this kind of shit happening, because you'd actually have cops who are truly tied to the community they serve. Five cops aren't going to beat someone to death that either they are familiar with, or in front of people they are familiar with.

Yep. More human beings live in cities than in rural towns.

Black on black crime is a thing and happens within these communities on a daily basis even though it perpetrated by members of the same community, coming from the same place which isn't mitigatory like at all. The difference between the black on black crime that we all know exists which is rampant and is overwhelmingly represented in violent crime statistics and this incident is the 5 dudes were wearing uniforms therefore all of the sudden it's a problem of 'policing' but totally not the elephant in the room which is b on b crime.

This notion that if only the cops came from the same communities this wouldn't happen is silly. 40% of the cops in my city are black, about 50% of the city is black and as I've said before you have to be a resident of the city to even be a cop. You think violent crime rates are lower because 40% of the cops are black? You think the black cops are somehow less aggressive or more understanding or better prepared to de-escalate because they live in the same city or have the same skin color?

I'll be over here waiting for you to address white-on-white crime.

And the Nazi can fuck off.

You are expecting nonviolence from a predisposition to commit violence.
Never gonna happen.
Doesn't matter what race the cops are.

This has got to be the most brain dead take I've ever seen on the subject.

Because a community has crime police from the same community can't be trusted to not brutalize the same community.

The level of disconnect from basic reasoning skills is quite frankly embarrassing

No it's true; this probably has a name like "the acceptance that the beating of a black person will not be much investigated by authorities"

Without even reading the article. Good luck.

This is Stanford prison experiment that people ignore. Racism is there but it's a by-product of a power trip that develops with hierarchy.
