Ezekiel 16 for one mentions that the age for marriage is that of puberty basically. Puberty ranges from 12-16 in most children. It also almost explicitly describes the young girls growth in areas which also refers to how young she must be and describes said girl as “ready for love”.

To be fair: Marriage was decided by the parents in most cases in that era. The two people getting married didn't have a choice and in many cases had never even met prior to be married. So marriage probably involved quite a bit of rape back then.

I'm not. People were extremely uneducated back then and since marriage wasn't a choice for many, it's probably a good thing that there was rules, so that people were not forced to marry farm animals.
