LOL, ok bud. My wife's parents grew up in gross huts on meat rations, now they ride bullet trains all over the country after they retired at 55 and 57. That's the normal Chinese experience.
If there's a big shift in Chinese attitudes, it's a healthy and growing dislike of the West. They aren't flocking here, it's the opposite: they're done with us.
We'll live there permanently, soon, it's almost hard to describe how much better of a society it is than Canada or the US. I feel bad for people who never go there.
That was indeed the experience for a few generations. But that experience is quickly collapsing.
A system where you need 3 houses because there is no other safe investment just isn't gonna last.
