Gee, I wonder why...probably because Trump is the leader of the election denier movement? I just don't see how "MAGA Republican" is inappropriate here because it's a perfectly reasonable delineation. Non-MAGA Republicans support the Constitution, democratic institutions, etc. MAGA Republicans don't.
EDIT: This is one of the first things in the speech:
I don't know, this seems crystal clear to me.
doing a lot of work to try to split hairs between "MAGA republican" and "Trump supporter"
the speechwriters who decided to thump that phrase did so deliberately. As I said, they didn't go with "insurrectionists" or "capitol rioters" or "election deniers"
They went with the phrase "MAGA Republicans", which besides being a conspicuously inelegant turn of phrase, means "Trump supporters", full stop
Here, I'll set my own dividing line and see if you can tell the difference between two different people making different types of speeches. Compare and contrast these quotes:
Quote
“MAGA Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger. They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth, but in the shadow of lies. Together, we can choose a different path”
"Too much of what’s happening in our country today is not normal. Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our Republic."

The pundits, the pundits like to slice-and-dice our country into Red States and Blue States; Red States for Republicans, Blue States for Democrats. But I’ve got news for them, too. We worship an awesome God in the Blue States, and we don’t like federal agents poking around in our libraries in the Red States. We coach Little League in the Blue States and yes, we’ve got some gay friends in the Red States. There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and there are patriots who supported the war in Iraq.
I think my distinction is more refined
