Anybody want to take another go? I still haven’t gotten anybody to defend this bill.

So far I got the basic, lazy, “government should stay out of it” and “abortion on demand up until birth because anti abortionists cannot express how their ideas would pan out”

I mean, outside foreign policy, trade, travel, there aren’t many things that are federal issues. That being said not much opposition from left leaning users when they try to enshrine abortion (basically) on demand up until birth into federal law.

Maybe it's because the right imposed anti-abortion laws with rape/incest inclusive wording that didn't even let the citizens of the state vote on it and you won't have to turn to the feds to regulate it?

You can make up storyline all you want(majority wanting uncontrolled abortion guidelines), but the FACT is that the trumpers enacted wild laws without even a vote on them.

Governor Stitt "That is what I believe and that is what the majority of Oklahomans believe." notice how it's just opinion and not actually backed by voter voices?

In the United States, we elect people to vote on legislation. No laws are voted on by the citizens, this has never happened in this country. What are you even talking about? But I am making up stories

I am not making up a story I am literally posting a bill that passed the house with overwhelming support by the democrat party and asking you (the voters) to explain to me why this is a good idea.

Because this is how America works……….

It's not how it "works" it's how it fails us all. When you don't get a single chance to have a voice in government about the issues at hand you have lost all your power as a citizen.

Legislation that passed on party lines then claiming it is what most people want and not just a party agenda isn't the system that gives power to voters.

These are feelings of many voters, from all sides of politics. Unfortunately, this is what the abortion debate within politics has become.

This doesn’t change the fact that the Bill in my OP passed the house with overwhelming democrat support, and it’s only defense so far (on this subforum) has been extremely weak.

The defense is this is the current tactic used by one side so it makes it the only tactic you can use against it. Party vs party instead of representing their constituents.

You can't have a reasonable discussion when one side is okay with rape/incest babies forced on underage kids.
