I've told you why people believe in God. The majority believe in a God because they feel that it is in some way beneficial for themselves.
Others believe in God in the same way that you build axioms off of the expectation that gravity will remain unchanged. In other words, they believe because the belief itself is assumed.
The rest of your argumens are based around assumptions.
You cant believe something because its beneficial to you. Thats where the problems start. Believing is not something you can choose to do.
The reason for believing something, has to be evidential to make sense. Thats how our world works - except for Religion.
Thats what fascinates me about that question.
God is such a strong example of wishful thinking. People do not want to die, they also dont want to be responsable for anything at all. God gives so much comfort that they try to be convinced about it at all cost. Absolutely fascinating.
