I'm not going to list every attempt the US has made or succeeded at overthrowing democracies and other sovereign nations because I'd be writing a novel. So I'l stick to one. Argentina.

There are dozens of examples of attempts to overthrow nations. Ukraine itself is under suspicion of being overthrown by America. If it was it'll be 50+ years before America admits it. You give me full access to American secrets and I'll point every one of them out. But that won't happen. Plausible deniability achieved. But plausible deniability won't convince Russia.
