I'm confused. I was told for literal years that as long as they satisfy the constitutional requirements then somebody is qualified. If she gets nominated and confirmed then by definition she is qualified. Seems there's several users here who aren't consistent on this issue.

A person being a judge for years does not make them a good judge, let alone the most qualified person to interpret the US Constitution and make good rulings that will be incredibly important.

He never said that most qualified could be determined by years of experience, or that she's a great pick because of those years. Blah blah fucking blah. You're an NPC screaming into the void on a gaming website. Since moderation on this site sucks, and has for quite some time, I don't put much effort into posting here any more. It isn't worth it to argue with the mouth breathers that have plagued this sub for years.

I also never said she was a 'good judge' or a 'great pick'. Simply that A:) she has more qualifications than ACB did at her point of nomination, and B:) the idea that Jackson is unqualified for the bench is fucking stupid (and considering that federal judges swear an oath to uphold the Constitution before taking office, "the bench" = "uphold the Constitution" in this context). It's even more stupid when you consider that the Constitution has no prerequisites to be nominated to or to sit on the Supreme Court.

Oh no my racist dog whistle actually wasn't racist because I'm actually such a partisan hack that I'd dismiss anyone who isn't a partisan conservative as unqualified. I'm totally not using affirmative action due to its long history of connection with dismissing minorities of ever being qualified.
