While I acknowledge that people should be responsible I don't know a lot of responsibile 14 and 15 year-olds.

I do however sadly know many that are taken advantage of via older people providing them booze. A disgusting act that takes place far to frequently in our aboriginal communities.

Again... every time someone argues that it CAN accidentally happen, we're setting up pre-justification for it accidentally happening.

If you give people (any age) a legal "get out of responsibility free card"... they will BE irresponsible.


If you tell people they can drive at 16 years old, they will drive at 16.
If you tell them they can drink at 21, they will drink at 21.
If you tell them go ahead have sex, if you get pregnant, we'll just erase it... they WILL go ahead and have sex.

Loading up a teenage girl to blackout and fucking her while she's unconscious isn't accedential. It's exploitation.

In this one example... if said girl can't control herself with alcohol... then she shouldn't drink ANY alcohol.

yes 14 year old girls are of course very knowledgeable about how much mystery alcohol content booze they can consume when given it by adults. thats well known.

Child bearing is a women's medical choice, nothing for politics, Christians, or any other entity to infringe upon that liberty, simple as that. Even insurance companies respect this by considering pregnant women trying to get onto a plan as someone with 'pre existing condition'.

Wish those that lobby hard against women's rights under the guise of save the babies fallacious rhetoric would push as hard for maternity and paternity leave, or contraceptives' that allow for timing birth vs roll the dice with Jesus. Sure, you might save a few babies by mandating they be born, but what circumstance are they being born into?

fully functioning decision making that rejects pressuring adults? i dont know an exact age but i'd say 7th graders arent a great case for that.



if a 14 year old robbed a bank because they were coerced by an adult to do so they'd get a drastically reduced sentence and tried in juvenile court.

not exactly your best example, we literally have juvenile courts for this reason.

Again that's not how exploitation works. Alcoholism is everywhere throughout our aboriginal communities and kids are drinking by 12 years old. Bottles here cost 220 dollars. Fly in workers frequently bring them in when they're flown in for construction luring young girls in with promises of free booze of which due to their piss poor family environment are already dependant on.
