If there was a 5-10% mortality rate or higher I might start to care. It’s under 1%. I’m more likely to die driving to work than from this bullshit everyone is wetting their pants over in yet another attempt to self aggrandize and be holier than thou. I don’t care if the whole planet gets covid, apparently it kinda has, and some people more than once. If I wanted to live my life like a pussy I’d drink milk and wear a collar.
The problem with that is we don’t know yet what the case fatality rate will be when outbreaks advance, both by the speed of infection and the strength of the strain.
Right now it’s safe to assume that the # of cases is underreported to the # of infections, therefore the fatality rate is lower than reported. It’s also safe to assume that for now, young people who have access to quality healthcare facilities are significantly less likely to die from Covid also.
With that being said, again we really don’t know what developments are in store.
