Your first quote says just over 1 million and also substantiates what I said about the prison population being significantly lower than the United States. So that is not a gotcha. And your second quote on the Holodomor leaves out that the reason people in the cities starved is that the kulaks and Ukrainian anti-communists destroyed 50% of the crops as a tactic to fight the USSR. Saying that’s Stalin’s fault when he was actively sending food aid and the nationalists are the ones who destroyed the crops is ridiculous. look up Isaac Mazepa (Ukrainian anti communist nationalist) if you want to read more on this. This is a typical western liberal re-write of history to bash communists.
