We've already cut down black history so much that people think that racism was solved by Abraham Lincoln. What more of the black experience would you cut and what would you teach of LGBT history that requires more than a week? Keep in mind that American history starts about 400 years ago whereas LGBT history is a recent phenomenon.

For anyone who actually understands the bible, the spirit was not condemning the sodomites for homosexuality in of itself, it was against using homosexuality as a singular method or way of exploiting, tormenting, killing, raping & destroying culture.

According to scripture yhwh gave the sodomites an offering of beautiful virgin women among other things & even the excuse of consent yet they still chose to try and rape holy representatives of God.
Meaning, if they took beautiful women they would not be found guilty of rejecting all natural affection & or consent, but by doing the opposite or by trying to rape the masculine elect their fate was determined


You could see the burning of sodom as repercussion for blaspheming the very sensitive nature of brotherly love gone horribly wrong as it were devoid of all natural affection through malicious intent

on a serious note tho black history has gotten a large boost in bringing attention to influential figures, and gay history is lagging behind. likely because many historical gay figures died in the closet. there are hundreds of gay people we'll never know were gay because they did not wear their status as a skin tone. but there are also plenty of figures to highlight. good luck teaching it in a school curriculum, i can hear the angry PTA meeting replies already.

If we have to take it one at a time we really need to get more black history going. Lots of people still don't even know about The Tulsa Massacre and would be hard pressed to think of a famous black person from history that isn't Carver
