60% of the graduates end up unemployed. The supply of degrees is higher than the demand. My analysis is correct and yours is wrong.

Except that 60% of college graduates are not unemployed.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/642043/unemployment-rate-of-us-college-graduates-by-major/

Most well-paying jobs require a 4-year university degree. Hiring managers use degrees to screen for well-rounded, capable individuals. It's far more likely that you meet those criteria if you've managed to successfully navigate your way to a 4-year degree.

https://www.aacu.org/aacu-news/newsletter/2018/september/facts-figures

What we should be talking about is identifying a portion of the university population, those who aren't a good fit for university education, and moving them towards other opportunities. We don't want to make the same mistake as the "everyone should go to college" crowd and insist that a majority of people go to trade school / get an associate's degree. There aren't enough jobs in those fields to support it.

If you stack up state and federal unemployment, most people in most states can make more money than working while they aresitting at home.

Federal unemployment ends this month in most states so there should be a hiring frenzy.

I would still hate to be a middle manager right now though.

Upper management wants you to hire people to work night and weekend shifts for lower than market pay and with no benefits in sketchy contract arrangements. And they expect the hired employees to do above average quality work because “continuous improvement”.

So people like thundercock just end up bribing the government to let in third word crap stain workers. The only people who win are the upper management. And tcock doesnt care, he’s rich and he could care less if anyone else is hurt.

Meanwhile union workers are so corrupt that theyve made a deal with Biden to avoid vaccine mandates (lol). Such a mess.

our management team has had a hell of a time, had to bump starting pay like 4$/hour just to wrangle subpar workers that stick around long enough to get fired and reclaim unemployment.

Canada still have the CRB benefit
Every business in town in short on workers, thousands on welfare and CRB

Hard to hire for 18/hr when people getting 15/hr to sit at home and do fucking nothing.

Perhaps it's time to raise wages... or for autonomous cars... or drone delivery.

You people and your raising the minimum wage nonsense.... That wouldn't draw employees in, but rather many to lose their jobs.

this, we need to lower the minimum wage so people can compete with the robots that will take their burger flipping jobs, look if 20 people need to band together to pay rent in a shed thats just the way it is they better pull themselves up on their bootstraps
