Sounds as though that's a religious extremist, not a political extremist. If you're going to paint him "of the right" are you willing to embrace the 9/11 terrorists, pulse nightclub terrorist, etc. etc. as "The Left"?

Make your choice. It seems if we start looking at religious-based terrorism as right/left, that the left has a lot MORE to answer for.

Or maybe you didn't read your own article?

Religious authoritarianism is firmly a right wing stance lol. That also goes for the 911 terrorists

At least learn the basics of the political spectrum bro.

That's nonsense. American Conservatism (aka the party of Lincoln) has nothing to do with religious extremism. Democrats are the party of Slavery. Democrats are the party of the KKK (racial religious extremists). Democrats are the party of Jim Crowe. Democrats are the party who embrace fundamentalist Islam.

Democrat apologists like Ben Affleck are the type to shout down anyone who questions fundamentalist Islam as "Anti Western" and call them racist.

Literally, everything you're saying is trash. "The Left" is the most authoritarian. "The Left" is the most racist. "The Left" is the most anti-liberty. They always have been, and they always will be.

Left right and center, religion is involved in them all. At their core, the right believes in the rights of the individual. At their core, the left believes in the rights of the collective over the individual. So, I challenge you again, do you want a true leftist world? I suspect your hands are too soft, and you're too much of a land whale to survive in that world. Stalin, Pot, Mao... None really approved of your soft, lazy lifestyle. Only leaders can be land whales. You're not a leader, you're merely a victim in your own world view.

Edit: I'd be fine in a communist takeover. My hands are hard as rocks, I'm lean, and I physically work my ass off regardless of whether it's "required". In many ways, I'd benefit more from your "ideal world" than you ever would. Which is ironic. I support individualism because I honestly don't want people just like you to be murdered simply for being who and what you are. It'd be nice if the same acknowledgement that "you matter" even if you truly do not matter to me personally were returned. Because your utopia? Has no place for you. It has a place for me. ;)

Yeah because they aren't legislating abortion based on religion and tried to ban teaching evolution on religious grounds.

Don't be dumb. Christian nationalism is all that American conservatism has left.

No need for religion in the heartbeat bill. Whether you personally believe an unborn baby is human or not is your problem. That's not a religious belief.

And the purest form of "Christian Nationalism" is called the KKK, a religions racial extremist group founded by the Democratic party, who's leadership was still notable as political leaders into the 90's. And who's leadership current leftists leaders, including Joe Biden, hail as friends and mentors. :)

Which party do you think sympathizes with the Confederacy right now? Which party is more likely to support the destruction of Confederate statues right now? Your history is mostly correct but I think you're living in the past and haven't updated your bearings.

My entire family and the majority of my friends, yes. They find me difficult, in recent years. Up until about... 7 years ago? They still thought I was a democrat. It's funny how much difference it makes to be an Independent when Democrats realize you aren't actually a democrat. You simply support or oppose policies. :)

I don't think either party sympathizes with the Confederacy, oddly. I think there are people of both parties as well as Independents who sympathize with people's need for their states' history to continue to exist.

It's hard for me to "live in the past" regarding the confederacy. I'm not from the south. Nor am I from the north. I'm from the west. We were not involved. I have no family history regarding the American Civil War. Even those family still in the east at the time were too busy in the coal mines and/or cattle ranching to worry about stupid shit.

I'm not saying that you're living in the past regarding the Confederacy. I'm saying that your understanding of Democrats vs. Republicans needs to be updated. We're quite literally in the middle of a transition right now and the parties are changing.

Anyway, it's pretty clear that conservatives (and they mainly vote Republican) are much more sympathetic to the Confederacy than their liberal counterparts.

I can analyze history. The parties are not changing, nor have they ever. There was no magical "flip" and there's no magical "flip" right now. Just look at treatment of Gubernatorial Candidate Larry Elder if you wish to get into an argument.

BTW, I've voted Dem far more than Republican. And I never claimed to be a conservative. I've simply taken the time to learn what they stand for. You haven't. I voted against McCain in favor of Obama, AND against Romney in favor of Obama. Why? Even the socialist was better than the warhawk authoritarian globalist shitbags in the executive chair.

You've been pretty pro Biden, as compared to Trump. Tell me, who is the authoritarian, based on actions?

Another amazing take from "the southern strategy was about empowering blacks" Bobb.
