It was liberals that created the Bank of Canada controlled interest rate system and it was reinforced by Libs in 2000 thankfully when Chretien was in charge before 2008 which gave harper the power to push BOC to adjust the rates which shielded us from the debt crisis a bit.

And in fact almost all super powers now use the exact same system that Canadian Liberals pioneered for controlling interest rates.

So I guess he happened to be the leader and was able to execute a plan to save the economy just as the Liberals that created the system envisioned. Good job.

telecom promise fail and electoral reform fail also limits my trust in the promises the liberal party is parading out right now - i do love some of the things they're promising but just don't believe it's gonna happen
too many ethics scandals

i might coin flip conservative for limited spending and avoiding higher taxes or ndp for a serious approach to housing
