1. you need to corrupt the youth and turn them into adult subverters. That means destroy their work ethic and make them sit idle / play a lot. Idle hands are the devils workshop. So BAN CHILD LABOR. FDR did this in the early 1930s. This will take 1 generation to take root. By the 1950s, kids were getting into rock and roll and drugs. It got way worse in the 1960s. The US started creating massive amount of child rebels who were turning into disrespectful adult subverters tearing down morale.

Once the ball got rolling there, the nation just started spiralling into decline as work ethic collapsed in ensuing generations and more and more started begging for free government handouts.

By the time the WW2 generation was dying off, the nation was ready for a monthly UBI / BIG, throwing away freedoms for just the mere promise of government health care, drug addled, refusing to get jobs, sitting around, burning businesses, looting, tearing down statues, and a massive backlog of passports as normal people flee to some other nation.

Russia and china have weak child labor laws so their kids learn a work ethic, learn discipline and respect and dont rebel, so their cultures are stable and growing.

People want to counter with some BS like "Oh, the kids will be socially stunted if they work!" I counter with "STUNTED DEVELOPMENT is kids who sit around, no nothing, develop no skills, enter the workforce, and now refuse to get a job and sit on their butt while they wait for the next government check! THAT'S a stunted, screwed up society"

If you want to know where it truly starts, it starts with child labor laws. I know that is controversial but its true.
