You guys make excellent specific wines but you don't have the soil diversity that America has. For instance, take a look at the best Cabs:

Europeans in general are afraid to branch out in terms of taste and style. So much of your culture is tied to food/drink so if there's any evolution, you lose a part of your culture. For instance, Germans are very rigid in their idea of a beer which is a shame.
