Hell, even AUSTRALIA has surpassed you with some varietals and wines. None of this really matters though because you clearly lack to sophistication to know what good wine is. Because you lack "greatness" in your own life, you have to cling to the identities that make France great.



Europeans in general are afraid to branch out in terms of taste and style. So much of your culture is tied to food/drink so if there's any evolution, you lose a part of your culture. For instance, Germans are very rigid in their idea of a beer which is a shame.

Large parts of American food culture literally consist of aimlessly throwing together the ethnic food of the various people who came to the US over time.

You have some of the best beers in the world. I love a good German beer on a hot summer day but my go to is a Russian Imperial Stout. Saying you have the best beer in the world is like saying you have the best apples in the world when all you grow is Golden Delicious

I think you have a pretty naive interpretation of American food culture if you think it involves aimlessly throwing together ethnic food. You need to understand what makes Japanese food great, what makes Indian food great, etc. We must continue to innovate while perfecting the classics simultaneously. The irony here is that European food was very different before you got New World ingredients.
