Back in July, Chauvin's trial felt like it would become the trial of the century. But now, I think the trial will get far less coverage that we had anticipated.
After multiple murders if the GFAZ and general lawlessness in the area, I'm less than convinced.
Likewise, daily riots in Portland continue, ostensibly over the George Floyd case.
However, the topic is more about a national (if not global) explosion of riots as we saw last time. I'm still of the opinion they're going to happen regardless. Murder 1 wasn't even on the table.
This is the trial summarized by, "If he's convicted, it's proof that America is racist and we should burn it down," or "If he's not convicted, it's because America is racist and we should burn it down."
There's no winning in this case. At any rate, bumping so that when the riots happen, we all have a place to opine.
