Minimum wage increases will only devalue our currency , speed up automation, & kill millions of jobs. Not to mention a McDonald’s cheeseburger will cost 7$

Leftists really are this fucking stupid, I know.
Not worth the time to even explain to these mental patients the 3 types of folks who do work minimum wage jobs and for what reasons

Sorry leftist losers, but you don’t deserve 15$ an hour to flip some burgers. Fuck off

I don't think million dollar salaries have zero effect on consumer price

They certainly have an influence on consumer price, id expect all costs to continue business operations would.

The revenue a ceo brings in is much higher than the revenue that hundreds of cashiers bring in. Would you disagree with that?

Nah.
The thing is, you don’t have to work for “the rich guy” and earn “slave wages”

That’s the good thing about capitalism, it’s completely voluntary.
You aren’t forced to do anything.
The thing is, most of the brain dead “fight for 15$“ supporters are brain dead millennial socialists who don’t understand the way the real world works because they’ve had everything handed to them their whole life.

I don't know about minimum wage increases but i certainly think we should send amazon a bill every year for all the foodstamps their employees depend on. Why should tax payers subsidize Amazon's employment costs when they're raking in hundreds of millions in profit every year?

how did the idiotic notion that an increase of the minimum wage would lead to such price hikes for everyone, that'd result in increased suffering overall, even gain any traction? everyone who has a basic understanding of economics and applies that to the situation in the US, everyone who is just marginally curious about how other countries work, and doesn't just uncritically accept the corporate propaganda their corrupt political leaders fearmonger with on behalf of their donors, can see what transparent bullshit that is, lol.

Wages rose 10% under Trump.

Just keep doing Trump's economic policies and in about 40 years, everyones' wages will be even higher than $24/hr.

Minimum wages don't do any good in the long term, they just hollow out the economy and raise the price level of goods like housing and health care.

I mean Amazon employees start out at 15$ an hour with full benefits. I highly doubt they need food stamps.

I also don’t agree with taxpayers having to foot the bill for things like this.

I think proper budgeting would solve a lot of people’s financial struggles. I know someone who makes decent $ and is still always broke & crying because they buy things that they don’t need, which I believe is a huge problem.

where do you live? Most cities that have large economies have HUGE costs of living 2400 a month just for rent in a studio.
15 is poverty level.
There is SO much corporate welfare of the government paying out benefits because people just cannot survive well in the market that they live in.
I do agree with bolded though:

I live in northern Michigan.
I agree that it can be very hard in certain places that have high costs of livings but there are solutions until you are able to improve your economic situation.

Like when I was younger, I lived with 2 roommates which significantly lowered the cost of rent etc.
Tbh if I lived in a place like that, I would just move.
However I do understand that not everyone has that choice
