That's a huge stretch to blame lack of delivery of additional fuel when the systems designed to deliver said fuel FROZE because they weren't winterized.

Some of them malfunctioned due to environmental limitations (freezing, etc).

Others ran out of fuel because of supply chain stoppages - which could have been prevented entirely.

You forgot another important factor: flu season is nearing its end. As the winter surge in covid cases around the entire northern hemisphere has shown, covid has a strong seasonal component, so this is another very positive factor in favor of reopening.

I, personally, would not have lifted the mask mandate just yet though, and I would have kept mass events at a strongly reduced capacity.

you know there is a difference between rolling back SOME restrictions (which i'd agree with, if done locally, maybe county-wide, based on incidence rate thresholds for example) and declaring a whole state "100%" open, including lifting the mask mandate in public places, right?

oh well, maybe you actually don't, as many right wing idiots tend to not bother with nuanced and science-based approaches, and only deal in extremes...
