Rifles (of which so-called assault varieties are a subset) account for 4% of all firearms deaths.

But they look mean! Don't you DARE devalue his feelings!

We ALL know that it's not the content of a subject that matters, merely the color of it's outer layering!

It's "full semi auto". They're coming for it.

My revolvers are fine though. ;)

Its crazy here in Canada, you cannot carry a rifle through a federal or provincial park which are massive parcels of land.

I get it for parks like Banff and other high tourist areas but other major designated areas in the NWT, Yukon, Nunavut, and northern areas in provinces I don't get it.

Bear spray and bangers only get you so far sometimes....

I have been lucky so far and got away by the skin my ass due to sheer luck.

No magazine in a revolver. I'm fine. No rapid reload either.

You made a poor choice, sir!

Yogi ran me down once and by having all the stars align in the world I was near enough to a roadway to pile into the back of a truck that saw me hauling ass from the woods.

The only thing the world that probably saved me was the luckyness of the pickup truck and the waterway that separated me and the bear that gave me just enough time. The thing fully caught up with me even with my head start and it having to swim.

I'm considering picking up a Marlin 1895. I always wanted a little 45-70. Seems like it would be okay for tenting and self-defence (Grizzly and Polar Bear)
