spoken like a true immature fool.

i mean, i was mostly talking in jest about the one off the wall scenario in which id even consider killing myself. entirely hyperbolic, but i had some fun with it.

and you came along to tell me you feel sorry for my wife, strawman me on 90 year old health, and call me immature in paragraph long pseuo-psychological rants.

but yes, also i am immature at times. cry about it?

Stay active mentally and physically and you'll be fine. My grandmother is up there an still moving around fine, living on her own, leading a fulfilling, active life (gardening, getting drunk at weddings, etc). My great-grandmother lasted into her 100s.

As soon as you sit down and stop moving, it's over. Covid lockdowns have likely already had a catastrophic impact on physical health.

indeed - and not everyone got to leave their domicile so they could go out and at least experience nature and exercise. that coupled with the mental taxing of lockdowns its devastating.

Exceptions dont disprove a rule.

90 year olds in almost all cases ive ever seen are more afraid of death than wanting of life. I spent a summer cooking at a nursing home, none of those people are happy. In part due to lack of communication with their families, even pre-covid most people just let their elderly fade in those places with a weekly 20 min phonecall to make them feel better. But more due to a serious lack of physical ability, dwindling reflexes, constant brain fog, and an ever present fear of death and the unknown that lies beyond.

because they don't use computers
computer can bring happiness to lonely people

Long periods of isolation not only have a catastrophic effect on the physical health of the elderly, but also on their mental fitness. The lack of intellectual or sensorial stimulation is devastating in people who were only hanging by a thread anyway.
