You were hoping a child was shot in the head because he killed your pedophile friend.

...and that other protester was running him down, as part of a mob that was chasing him, before he ever shot anyone. AND before Rittenhouse fired 4 shots killing Rosenbaum, someone who was part of the mob chasing Rittenhouse fired a pistol into the air. It can be seen on the video. Rittenhouse turned to see who was shooting at him, saw Rosenbaum almost on top of him, and shot in self defense. THEN, he went back, appearing to call for help, and potentially administer aid with that first aid kit of his, when the mob chased him off again, and two more people were shot 90 seconds later. EVERY round he fired was defensive. It's not like the video evidence isn't out there for all to see.

I was saying that a responsible, armed defense force should be protecting protestors from random acts of right wing terror, of which multiple have already occurred. In the absence of that if you are armed and you honestly believe that there is an active right-wing shooter who has already killed people in the midst of your group you should shoot him without hesitation, not rush and try to disarm him.

Rosenbaum is not my friend. I have never met the guy nor do I have any indication he shares my ideological or moral values.

There is a lot missing from the narrative being pushed from both sides as we simply don't have all the information and it will be decided in a court of law. Rittenhouse will almost certainly be found guilty of firearms offenses given the laws in wisconsin and according to the few lawyers I've spoken to on the subject will likely be convicted of either first or second degree reckless homicide due to Wisconsin's self-defense laws. Though ofc where a jury is involved it can always go the other way.

However all that is irrelevant. My initial comment was not a defense of Rosenbaum it was a repudiation of the condemnation of the two folks shot while attempting to later disarm him after he shot Rosenbaum. Given the information we have and the information we know them to have there is no reason to condemn them except, as I already said, on the basis that if you believe a terror attack is in progress and you have a gun you should shoot the person rather than rushing at them.

let's be honest, if he threatened or brandished a weapon at the crowd we'd have 200 reports of it on all mainstream media. the list of things that make him look bad in being chased don't comply with the lack of them being reported on.
