I have said again, the virus we are talking about are clearly different i.e treatments available, how the virus responded to heard immunity etc, and how severe the symptoms were. But to answer your question, there was no lockdown for H1n1, in any country it seems.

Different measures were taken and there were less deaths.

Now, are you going to disregard the fact that Obama and Ronald Klain implemented a pandemic response plan and team to manage this sort of thing? Therefore, Obama clearly learned from H1N1 and put a dedicated NON-PARTISAN team together to address future responses. What did trump do with it? Threw it in the garbage.

I still stick to my original point. Obama would be screwed just like Trump. This virus doesn't care if your guy is red or blue. Your claim that Obama "wins" because they prepared doesn't hold any ground because you cannot compare. COVID-19 hit like a freight train compared to slow moving and mild H1N1.

No plan would be adequate anyway, all those obese and elderly people would still succumb to this virus. Even IF Obama would have reacted faster and enforced a complete lock down he's get blamed for ruining the economy.

What part of that didn't you get? He literally stopped the worlds most deadly disease in its tracks with his god-like power. Same with swine flu. Then Trump got in and basically started spawning diseases on the world.
