Fearing god is a mistake IMO.
Thus it could simply means you are afraid of everything, it's more like anxiety to me, some kind of a disease.
Unfortunately it's contagious and used to control people. I hate it.

For a believer, the fear means to respect. What does it mean to fear your boss? You do not want to get on their bad side as you know the power that they hold.

Mark 12:30 - And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

This is the loving God, putting him first above all others.
