Last i checked america is the wealthiest nation in the history of the world, how can people think that its impossible to make things more equitable?

Because if we tax the rich they will move to other developed countries.... That also have those systems.

How can the U.S. be the wealthiest nation in the history of the world when even in the present, Switzerland, Norway, Singapore, some gulf monarchies and probably a series of other countries are more wealthy than them? Also, isnt even Australia more wealthy on average than the U.S.?

Not even close, you are looking at average wealth, the top 10% of america could buy every country you mentioned.

Ah, you were talking about absolute wealth, I was talking about average wealth per capita.

Yes.

If it weren't for communism's horrible history he would call himself one.

He tempers his policy some to appeal to a broader swath of society.

He believes government should redistribute on a grand scale to come as close to equity as possible.

Hopefully he will be rejected in the primaries.

There are probably more millionaires in California alone than the countries you mentioned. Our richest state has a GDP greater than the majority if world powers by itself.

S for average wealth I would say American citizenship is worth about a 1/2 million dollars with all the benefits you get. For the most part if you can work the system you will never be homeless you will never be out of food you have a safe place And even losses of these things would be temporary with a robust social service agencies.

Some of the countries you mentioned don't count their slaves and other non-citizen servants in their per capita wealth like the Gulf States.

He was the mayor of Burlington Vermont for quite some time. He cleaned up their busted pension system, improved public services, added consumer protections, and was not unpopular to the population there.

If you want to know what somebody is going to do their past behavior is the best indicator. If you understood what Bernie Sanders has made his career doing then you wouldn't be so threatened by him. I would recommend going back and examining his executive experiences in Vermont before he became a Senator.
