Lol the EU does not work with Hezbollah, they just allow the political party to raise money in Europe. The militant arm of Hezbollah(which is what Soleimani supported) is classified as a terrorist organization by the EU, obviously. Hezbollah’s stated goal is to expunge all jews from the middle east, that’s the reason they exist and it’s the purpose Soleimani supported.
Your second point is that Iran(through Soleimani) provided terrorists with roadside bombs that have killed and wounded thousands of Americans, Canadians and Europeans, but that these bombs aren’t being used in America. I would counter that they aren’t being used in Iran either. It’s not self-defense, and it’s not in defense of the government of Iraq, it’s only directly in support of terrorist organizations in the country.
Assad’s government tortured to death a 13 year old boy for supporting democracy in the middle east, jailed and tortured hundreds more and then when the people stood up to protest this his response was to use the military and chemical weapons on more children. I don’t think we should get involved, but obviously if I lived in Syria I would like to think I’d be part of the rebellion, because I have a fucking soul. Syrians deserve freedom from totalitarianism and justice just as much as you or I.
I don’t understand why you think that countries in the middle east can’t have decent democratic governments and instead deserve mass murdering dictators like Assad. How can you justify that viewpoint as not being racist? Those people are just as capable of conscious thought as you are, their children are just as human as yours and their parents have just as much of an obligation to defend their freedom as you do yours.
You could have said the same thing about Japan 80 years ago and history has shown us that just like all of the other people in the world Japan is capable of practicing democracy and improving the lives of their children. So is Syria and Iran and all the rest.
About Hezbollah, its not black and white, otherwise their political wing would never have permission to operate in the EU period.
True true, it doesn't happen in Iran, however illegal American "Democracy crusades" lead to:
A) Iran suffering economically due to instability in the region, the cost of prepping up their borders due to militant rogues/groups hostile to Iran gaining strength/sometimes even directly supplied by CIA when its needed B ) hundreds of thousands of refugees Iran had to accommodate because of Iraq, How would US like if Russia went to Mexico sided with Cartels (lets theoretically say Cartels would grow to 20% of Mexican population number wise) and create refugee crisis for US to deal with, would US stand by? Yes Iran has its own plan of dealing with critical and complex situation in its own back-yard what do you expect, and yes it might not be one US likes, however US already punished Iran heavily with sanctions, and let me remind you its US who pulled out of Nuclear deal with Iran, also todays strikes Iran launched is nothing but just a symbolic show to calm the quench and blood thirst of the militias to who Soleimani was a saint so they don't take situation in their own hands and US has an opportunity to start real war after one proxy or another actually kills 20-30 Americans. It has to be heavily underlined that Iran does not have full control of these sizeable militias and never did even when Sol was alive, do they have influence over them? Yes now their influence has weakened due to what US has done which is bad for everyone...
Nobody ever said Assad is great, he is corrupt evil human being, but he just like Husein/Gadaffi are the necessary evil, they are dams that keep seas of even greater evil at bay, look at how these dictators came to power, just like the rebels that are currently fighting their regimes they overthrew what they saw as regimes that abused their people, and in the beginning of their rise they too where more or less "humane" compared to last regimes, however circumstances and historic tensions among ethnic groups that never forgive each other for past wrongs happened and they had to deal with them, often in a harsh manner and then whole situation intensified due to international sanctions because US cannot get off its high-horse and realize they don't get to judge every situation/conflict based on their perceptions and values, today we see those rebels and their 13 year old kids suffering - tomorrow when they comes to power and "wave" fades, they will have issues with ordering genocides of other minorities which protest against them, e.i: Syrian Christians/Kurds/remnants of those who where allied with Assad, whole middle east is stuck in this loop, and in the end they use exactly same measures that the regime they overthrew used against them. It never changes.
Do not compare Japan a nation and empire that was wholly united as people to countries in middle east where one village is nothing like the other from cultural perspective. Japan was the aggressor and by that times rules they where keen on expanding their empire, it was completely different time, Time when expansion and militarism of great nations and wars among nations was common, its a horrible example even if you take in account that USA did provoke Japan to attack. These conflicts in middle east are nothing like World War 2, for Iran its best to use Cold War examples, but unfortunately since World War 2 America has failed to justify its interventions and wars properly because there was no justification. And when there is no justification America makes up lies, and provokes then blows responses out of proportion.
Lets look at how Vietnam war started again:
https://fair.org/media-beat-column/30-year-anniversary-tonkin-gulf-lie-launched-vietnam-war/Looks familiar?
continuing "evolving justifications"
First reasoning, oh they put American lives in danger/provoked us first for no good reason/killed US forces, "they are looking to expand" , "well they did neither of the prior 2 reasons really but hey they are evil people/communists they deserved it anyway"
This bs to satisfy the hunger of American military complex which doesn't give shit about democratic values, just use them to white wash their criminal wars, as long as new weapons are ordered/new opportunities of natural resources theft becomes possible for their daughter companies once nationalized resources are in private hands of puppets US puts in place of "evil dictators" it will never end. However it backfired super hard on USA in middle east, because they underestimated how much stability Husein and later Gadaffi actually provided and now they found themselves in a trap - they cannot efficiently extract resources because there is fighting everywhere and under such conditions its impossible to do business when oil fields swap hands every week so they are losing money and accumulating debt. And they cannot just pull out because governments they put in place are too weak, depend on them to survive, if US pulls out -> these governments will crumble and be decimated just as we seen in Iraq when Isis emerged. So they are searching hard on how to get out of middle east trying to find a vector to escape through, just doing hard pullout would cause complete chaos with ISIS and their Islamic state dream becoming actual reality for they destroyed powers who contained those groups thus taking their place and ultimately responsibilities. So that 13 year old boy who Husein so ruthlessly tortured back in 1999 that broke some American "soul" when showed on TV could very well be in a desert somewhere today with AK-47 waiting for US/Russian drone strike to take him out. This is grim reality of the situation, what even further complicates the situation is USA's pride and they cannot officially accept that they where wrong about Iraq and had no real reason to do what they did, if they did accept it - war criminals like George Bush and Chaney and all their butt buddies from senate would be put on trial in Hague for war crimes and illegal wars, USA would have to pay restitution for their crimes same way Nazi Germany did after war. Look around even UK is urging US to stop screwing with Iran, and they usually stay in US's shadow on things, Trumps antics and failure to inform allies/or even democrats of his moves in middle east pisses everyone off immensely, starting from closest NATO allies, democrats and ending with Republicans who are baffled by this gangsterism.
This is just how most people who aren't blinded/brain-washed look at all this. One thing is for sure - Europeans are sick of this middle east situation they won't follow Trump to war with Iran, Russia too doesn't appreciate US meddling in its backyard however situation there is very different and actually aside from "little help" US and UK intelligence agencies provided to Ukrainian revolution US/NATO are more or less in the right there, however pissed off Russia isn't a good thing and we seen their new capabilities in Syria where they showed US their re-vitalized military and ruthlessness with which they exterminated insurgents. Even Turkey - major political loss for Trump, he tried his gangsterism on Erdogan and was laughed at as Erdogan called his bluff vs Kurds, Turkey will never allow Kurdistan to be a thing as that would threaten its very existence, 15%-20% of Turkish population are Kurds, if Kurds succeed and take some of Turkeys territory -> other ethnicities too will follow suite and next thing you know Turkey is struggling to contain separatism all over, that pushed Turkey a NATO ally right into embrace of Putin and whats worse actually made Russia look like the reasonable power in the middle east. Furthermore Trumps trade wars alienated him from his closest allies and neighbors, and short term economic boost US might be experiencing came at a loss of international relations. Weak positional play from political perspective all over, this tensions with Iran -> made oil prices go up yet again -> Right into Russias hands weakening the effect of sanctions on them. US is throwing its weight around like they got enough power to take whole world on, forgetting that 23 trillion debt ceiling threatens to squash their economy and cause depression of all depressions, conventional forces/3 billion airbases and all that junk is great but we are in 21st century and its economical warfare that wins wars and conflicts nowadays and one for sure USA cannot afford a full scale war at the moment especially with Iran - there would be nothing to gain but another 5-10 trillion debt that would surely accelerate economical demise of USA.
