In a perfect world, a new government would have came into place that would have had a beneficial effect.

Even if a centered government is in place, it could become tyrannical again, or become overwhelmed by another militant group.

Either way, you claim dodging, yet this whole conversation is a dodge to the initial conversation about America as a super power and the power it holds from a military standpoint. None of these wars are traditional style wars, it's about fighting radicalized sub-groups. Not an entire country. Thats an entirely different thing versus traditional warfare. If the United States wanted the entire country gone, it would be gone.
