People who aren't on the football team can be pretty capable of murdering people on the football team. Definitely didn't need an AR-15 rifle.

1989: The ninth most successful, carried out in Canada. Shooter used a Ruger Mini-14. (14 killed, 14 injured; Marc LĂ©pine, 25) Note: This incident did lead to major gun restrictions.

1999: The tenth is Columbine, they utilized a semi-automatic handgun, two shotguns (one sawed off pump action, one double barrel) and a High point 995 civilian model carbine. (13 killed, 21 injured; Eric David Harris, 18 and Dylan Bennet Klebold, 17) Note: It is illegal to modify the shotgun in the way it was, the barrel was cut too short.

2011: Eleventh as in Brazil, used two revolvers, 13 killed.

2009: Twelfth was in Azerbaijan, used Makarov Pistol. 12 killed.

2006: Thirteenth was in The People's Repubilc of China, walked into classroom and used gasoline to start a fire. 12 killed.

1964: Fourteenth was Cologne school massacre in Germany. Used a flamethrow, an lance and a mace. 11 killed.

2008: Fifteenth most successful was in Finland. .22 pistols and molotov cocktails

The third and fifth involved the AR, Newtown (27 killed) and Parkland (17).

(Only two of the weapons above, excluding the AR, so the Ruger Mini-14 and M1-carbine, while not being fully automatic, are weapons utilized by military)

Only 6 of 15 occurred in the US. 3 in Germany, 1 in UK, 1 in Canada, 1 in Finland, 1 in Brazil, 1 in Azerbaijan, 1 in China.

266 dead in total, 44 killed with ARs. So roughly 15%. Meanwhile, 67 killed without guns. That's 25%.

i quite agree. and realize water follows the path of least resistance. but for now that path seems to be for whatever reason ARs with big clips, bump stocks, and soft targets like concerts, schools, and churches.

I also recognize that the fact that if we plug a hole in the dam another will spring somewhere else, cars, bombs, knives, w/e. That to me isn't a reason to not plug holes, mainly due to the copy cat effect. we're still seeing echos from Columbine, whereas we havent seen a copy cat of Nice France that im aware of.

not that i've heard, it wouldnt be effective most likely in a school setting. unless he went into an assembly or something. i cant even imagine the body count if the student body was localized for a shooting.

if my post reads like im saying each shooting had a bump stock that's not what i meant. however, i would expect them to be adopted quite a few more times in the upcoming shootings. although there are plenty of other ways to modify for a higher shooting rate.

Correct me if Im wrong, but las vegas with the first and only time bump stocks have been used in any fatal shooting
