As Goom has pointed out, who cares? Russia isn't making nukes. They're just going around some dumb posturing laws that we shouldn't even have to support their energy needs. It's no big deal. Snore.

I was just hoping he'd chime in with why he's bashing both sides here. Curious what his actual thoughts are.

To me this kind of sums it up:

Quote
In 2011, the Obama administration gave the green light for Rosatom’s Tenex subsidiary to sell uranium to American nuclear power plants. Before the deal, Tenex could only sell reprocessed uranium from dismantled Soviet nuclear firearms to power plants in the U.S.

So... a corporation wanted to make more profit, had a leftover regulation in place from the Cold War preventing them from selling uranium to the U.S. unless it was part of disarmament, and found a way to sell uranium to the United States. This whole "Moscow got 20% of the U.S. uranium supply" propaganda is destroyed by this single fact. Moscow wasn't getting our uranium, we were. Rosatom was just enriching it for us, because they have the technical capacity to do so in a financially beneficially manner.

Sounds very smart.

I'm not sure you understand. I'm pointing out that this is a bombshell report that details a huge political scandal that could flip the entire narrative on its own, yet none of the major networks are covering it, besides the right-wing partisans
Even if it somehow turned out that everything in the allegations could rationalized as innocent misunderstandings, the existence of such explosive charges with strong evidence to back them up should be all over the news.

Why?

I'm a believer in "fake news" as Trump and his team describe it, not entirely of course because PotUS exaggerates, but I spend a fair amount of time pointing out MSM hypocrisy. It ultimately works against the left wing agenda long-term. So why should explosive charges be covered? They only serve to add to the divisive partisan noise.

Well, the NY Post picked it up...

For inkanddagger...

Quote
The [2010] move gave the Russians control over roughly 20 percent of the US uranium supply — and gave Russian strongman Vladimir Putin a large and profitable stake in the US atomic-power industry.

In the second deal, in 2011, Obama gave the OK for Rosatom’s Tenex subsidiary to sell the Canadian company’s uranium to American nuclear power plants.

Before, Tenex could only sell reprocessed uranium from dismantled Soviet nuclear weapons to power plants in the US.

/e The point is, Obama would have never signed these deals if he had known ahead of time what he was actually signing.

Short version: The Clintons got $145 million, to arrange things so no one knew what was going on, until after the deal was signed. The truth didn't even come out til 2014 and 2015 documents, got released a few days ago.

And the Clintons should totally burn for this. The whole deal could have gone down without any tribute being paid to them.

But we all know it's going to be attributed to "libtards" and the "deep state" and "Obama communist" and used as fuel in the partisan flame war. We have corruption everywhere. It's not just one of the parties. This won't be solvable through partisan attacks.

Because explosive charges with evidence are incredibly newsworthy.
Lets say tomorrow that buzzfeed said it had uncovered an actual pissgate tape from Trump in a Russian hotel room, that the whole thing was real all along, then it posted an article about how it acquired it, and enough evidence to prove it was real without showing it. That would be incredibly explosive, it would change the dynamic of the Trump-Russia investigation, it would be a huge political scandal with fallout. Whether it supports the political bias of a network, they should be obligated to report in on it because of how big a news story it is.

Well in this case, TheHill.com, a far more credible publication, did investigative reporting and found details enough to prove explosive allegations about the FBI and top democrats.
Yet its completely absent in reporting from all the major news networks other than fox, when fox are obviously the right wing hacks
All the left-aligned networks have chosen to simply not run this story at all. The story is completely absent on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, WaPo, NYT.
