Basically dualists assert that there is some level of interaction between the physical and mental (which is intuitively obvious because our minds change as our brains change... or vice versa... or both). I'm not a dualist, however.

I never knew this was an actual discipline, but I came up with the theory that ever since the camera became popular, people construct their own personas based on how they look. Dunno how accurate I am, but it's interesting to think about. The most obvious alternative would be that we just associate people's looks with their personality after the fact.
