Why is it okay for you in some cases look at your own holy book as metaphors yet take the whole quaran literally? And the war is clearly to blame for these displaced peoples. and the same thing will happen in iran.

What the Quran says does not matter. Culture matters, perceptions matter, attitudes matter.

When taking in large numbers of people from what are essentially failed states, we need to be concerned that the systemic issues at play in their home countries do not come home to roost.

I took it. Was mandatory. Learned to sew, balance a checkbook, cook a meal, and do other stuff. Not bad for children in working families who spend a lot of time alone after school because both (or the only) parent is at work. I learned more about practical live than shop class Though it was fun making bird feeders.
