I heard that GZ was inspired by that movie when he beat up his wife and shot that kid.

Who knows, Latinos might gain people status if they keep up the good work.

Your life sounds like it came straight out of Where The Red Fern Grows.

Wake up in the middle of the night and fire a large caliber handgun with no ear plugs in the dark all you want

This defending one's home from rampant gangs of negros is a NRA fantasy anyway.

And why you were you shooting a racoon in the head repeatedly with a .22?  Are you a serial killer or something   I'm sure one or two would have done fine, you were probably just being impatient.  That thing was fucked after you pulled the trigger the first time.

Ive been a comp shotgun shooter my whole life, my ears are already fucked.

Im not sure it can be a fantasy if its been documented to happen... not common but not fantasy. Id rather be over prepared than under.

I trap and skin coons on weekends, because they eat my cats' food. I shoot them while they are still in the trap and if i shoot them in the head they sometimes do not die. They sit there and twitch, are you suggesting its MORE humane to let the animal twitch for 10-20 minutes? Id rather double, triple, quadruple tap and end their suffering. Coons are tough little fucks, especially the young ones. My dad just throws the trap on a rope in the pond.

We are talking about shooting people, nothing humane about that. If we wanted to be humane we would teach intruders lessons in humanities ;)

Meanwhile in the real world, you would be led salad if you tried to negotiate with someone already reckless enough to break into your property. You aim a gun with one intention and you pull the trigger, this isn't the movies people.

This is true, people who hold guns and talk are the ones who die. The person who broke into your house has already stated his case he means to do you harm in one way or another and it's by violence, he hasn't asked you if he could borrow that stereo has he?  He decided to commit violence when he entered, you in turn decided to respond with violence when you picked up the gun, don't talk shoot.

Your comments are probably the prudent thing to do, but I'm going to give another human the benefit of the doubt before I shoot them and assume the liability of that decision, especially if they dont appear armed and are non threatening, and given the police station is 2mins away.

 I had a possum in a tree right along our driveway not far from the house, it was dusk and I didn't want to attract the kids so I used a old .22 I had in the barn it was loaded with shorts already so...about 5- shots later the damn thing was hissing and leaking a bit but far from dead. So I grabbed a sledge hammer that happened to be nearby. Nudged the monster out of the cherry tree with the handle as it flopped to the ground still hissing and leaking I slid the sledge to the proper position and reared back keeping my eye on the target, when Jean's mom pulled up the drive. she caught me on the down swing connecting fully with the leaky possum's head . I never did have any mother-in-law problems we got along very well and were very respectful of each other

wait what. i only came in here to talk about home defense gun choice. i even stated later on that i would shoot for an intruders legs, which is the only humane response if youre going to shoot. If youre not going to shoot thats your prerogative, if you break into my house and hear "dont move or youre fucking dead" you better not move. Then i have no reason to shoot. Im not gonna open fire at first sight but i will not hesitate to take someone out if they make an aggressive movement towards me.

reminds me of the time a rabid coon popped out of a pile of hay and all i had was the pitch fork. so i ran him through, pinned him on the beam, and went ot get the 22

Probably. They'd have to be in my house, and not get on the ground when I tell them to.

E: We have some psychopaths in the posts directly above.
