No, seeking cannot be a method. I could desire that I want a bottle of soda on my desk, and I could do that forever, but it takes me working for cash and then using that cash to get the soda. You think you can get the soda just by sitting there 'seeking' it.

If you really desire soda, you will do what is needed to get it, that's what I'd call seeking soda... maybe watch that video ? Here is a shorter if you are lazy :)

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/seek

Seek:
a : to go in search of : look for b : to try to discover

to seek something involves more then just a desire or a wish.

So where is the method? You're supposed to seek, but what is the protocol of seeking?

That video was alright. Too sensationalist, too. He mixes the notion of Atman in Hinduism and Emptiness in Buddhism and weaves this far too fantastical notion that you are everything. I don't like Alan Watts. He doesn't stick to what Buddhism really teaches when he tries to talk about it. He's just another scholar trying to make a buck off of his books and lectures and so he sacrifices precision and accuracy for story telling and exaggeration.

Well, speaking about truth you just have to open your mind : Don't take anything for granted, check things for yourself, and share what you know is truth (what you could experience).
Our mind can be our worse ennemy, but once we understand we are not just our mind, it becomes our friend, we start to control it better... I'm experiencing this.
"Emmancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our mind." Bob Marley

The Present I'm encourraging you to read explains this much better than myself, you should not take what you think it says granted and check it for yourself.

Here is one more good video I found : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dpRPTwsKJs

I've already read some of that book and it is, to be frank, garbage. I don't want to read it as it will just piss me off.

Jesus said, "I am in all things; yet I am beyond all things. Not through seeking will you find me, but through Peace. Nevertheless, through seeking you will find yourselves, and then will you know the Eloheim."

Jesus said, "The seeker should not stop until he finds. When he does find, he will be disturbed. After having been disturbed, he will be astonished. Then he will reign over everything.”

Seeking is the "method"

Did you watch that video I posted about 3 hours ago ? It is really interresting.

The first quote comes from a piss-poor gnostic website: http://www.thepearl.org/Sayings_of_Jesus.htm

The second quote is from the Gospel of Thomas.

Man, the fact is Jesus died 2000 years ago, nobody can know for 100% sure what he said.
All we can do is use our rational mind, logic and reason to see what make sense.
Physical resurrection doesn't make sense.
The quotes I posted make sense.
Now, what about you stop take the Bible for granted, and start check things for yourself ?
I'm not saying there is no truth in the Bible, but you have to have a rational mind to separate the truth from the myths, and this book helps a lot : http://www.truthcontest.com/entries/the-present-with-religion/
Also the Bible is very old, and life is evolving, so you should seek the truth in modern (not translated many times) books, or just art / videos...

hahahahaha

"I'm going to quote Jesus for proof, and as soon as you point out my quotes are bullshit, I'm going to pretend like quotes don't matter."

This is seriously fucking golden.

I don't think I ever said I followed the Bible. I'm just trying to show you are gullible and ignorant (cause it's fun).
