I wasn't referring to the specific post quoted - but the viewpoints of many, many religious people. Which is that science and facts are literally something to be boycotted, whilst replacing it with religious dogma in the face of all logic and evidence.

I could counter by saying that is a "dangerously ignorant" view of religion. Being a religious person doesn't automatically make you oblivious or unbelieving of science, just like being an atheists doesn't automatically make you a close-minded baby-killer.

Vouch. There are plenty of religious scientists, and millions more people who accept science just fine but who are still religious.

Please re-read my post. I said it is the viewpoint of many religious people - I did not say all or even the majority.

So now you're backtracking after implying a majority by saying...

Can you make a fly for me?  I'm not seeing why I have to make a fly when neither you or your imaginary book can do it.

Allah created everything and he shows us clear signs by giving us these challenges that no mortal being can ever do. Simple.

That is the lesson to be learnt here. Good luck next time trying to understand it on your own before someone spells it out plainly for you.

this kind of rabid anti thinking dogmatic belief is an abomination
my religious book says x , therefore x is true , no matter what ......

If I was implying a majority I would have said most.

Many
adjective
1. constituting or forming a large number; numerous

And seeing as how you didn't just say many but went as far as to say "many, many" I would say that is an implication of a majority. But I'll chalk it up to semantics.
