If North Korea can survive with Sanctions 10 to 20 times that of Iran, Iran has a good chance of doing it.
Furthermore, as long as China, Russia and India are around they will find ways via the Pakistani corridor to trade for India. China will do it via their Belt and Road through Afghanistan / Pakistan.
That is for trade via the land route if the US Embargos their Sea route and Hormuz strait.
Sad to say, although some Pard members here says that Iran is not developing a nuclear weapon.
I think they already have enough enriched uranium to make a couple. This will be used against USA's handler which is Israel. And if calculations are not careful either Israel use the bomb first or Iran, this will be ruinous for US allies around the region.
Sad to say the phallic proportions of Uncle Sam is being circumcised at the moment. A ego trip from the Trump and Israel government will be extremely dangerous.

During the Israel Gaza conflict, a impoverish country like Yemen was already providing uncomfortable threats to the US and NATO military, not significant but uncomfortable.
Due to Shia and Sunni conflict, Iran might just MAD with the surrounding Muslim country taking Israel along. Even Lebanon won't be spared and I wouldn't be surprised the Palestinians will be taken out with it.
With so many lives, allies , enemies and innocents on the books. It will be very difficult for either US or Israel to completely nullify Iran's position.
They will have to come to a cold peace at the end of the day. Which is why Iran have a rather high chance of surviving. It has got nothing to do with how huge the phallic proportions of the United States of America.

Well, I am not an expert, so that is just my superficial understanding.
The worst thing US did was getting rid of Saddam which was being propped up by CIA in the 70s. Iraq was used as a counterweight.
Without a proxy and counterweight against the Iranians, this war will be quite stressful on the US military.
If NATO comes in, it will be far easier, but it doesn't seem to be that at the moment.
But things might change, who knows ?
